She breathed in a few moments of her final Christmas morning, then peacefully slipped to heaven. Rob and his Aunt Sandy were sitting up late with Grandma B when she passed away in comfort of her own home (of 57 years!). Grandpa B (husband of almost 62 years!!!) was resting in the next room. A brain tumor found 2+ years ago slowed her a little, but not all that much until recently. Even so, she was able to remain pain-free and home with family & friends.
Grandma B definitely wasn't in that house all 57 years. At least a couple years were spent logging over 1 million miles together on many, many road trips, truck driving Grandpa B estimates. Mostly out West and Florida, and then countless ball games, horse shows & swim meets while chasing grandkids. They took Rob on his first plane ride, a trip to the Rockies when he was 16. The boy became hooked on mountains & travel, and so changed his course... our course. He and I now ponder how many miles around the globe we'll get together. I thank you for igniting a fire that matched your red locks of hair, Grandma B. Christmas peace to you.
